Progress Dec 31

Happy New Years to everyone.
Hopefully I can get a celebratory screenshot for 2019.

Myuria’s clothes is finished.
Shining lights can pick it up right now here.
Ember access is in a week.
Everyone else is in two weeks.

What!? It’s only been 2/3 days since I finished the November commission!?
There’s no breaks on this train.
I originally wanted to take a break over the weekend and maybe work on custom clothes, but I decided I want to finish everything asap.
I don’t know where my drive came from, but I hope it stays at least for the month of Janurary.
(The new workflow helps too.)

Even though I’m technically on schedule, I’m still technically behind a month in terms of commissions.

The schedule is as follows:

Yikes. That’s 31 days right there, give or take a few days here and there.
I originally wanted to do a test suit after every public mod, but that’ll just add additional time, so doing it after every patreon mod would suffice.

If I can finish all of this this month, it opens February a lot for whatever.

For now, I want to rest for New Years Eve.
Test mods and the commission will be worked on afterwards. The upcoming public commission is actually quite easy.

Progress Dec 28

H27 is now available to the public. You can pick it up here.
Cleric is public next week. If you wish to support me, you can get it early here.

I’ve been posting a lot this week.

I completed the last November commissioned yesterday night and will be working like mad to get the Poll Winner done, and it looks like it’s Myuria! The reason being I actually want Janurary open as much as possible.

I updated the Yorha Commander Mod. This quick and dirty fix attempts to make the Leotard whole. I’ve also fixed some areas that went unnoticed, mostly relating to the body and boots.
The project files for this set is a mess.

Test mods have helped me increase my modding speed by quite a lot. After I finish Myuria, I’ll need to bang out another suit. Going back and forth between loose clothes and tight clothes seemed to have help.
A clean mesh helps even more.

I reserved more studio slots for later use.

The new poll is here. Patrons can vote or make suggestions here.

Despite it’s low resolution, it turned out okay.
Nothing else to say really.

Midweek Progress Report

The final November commission is now being worked on.
A refresher schedule of sorts.

1: Private commission
2: Poll winner
3: Public commission

And that’s all for that.

For Patrons:

I banged out two speed test mods over Christmas to try out. If you’re a Radiant patron, you can play with the test mods and leave your thoughts here.
Don’t forget to leave your thoughts and comments (and maybe even requests).
For former Radiant patrons, you can find the set uploaded to the link sent out earlier this month.

Note: These mods are haphazardly slapped together with no regards to optimization or quality. This allows me to try on clothes as fast as possible without having to clean and polish everything, or set up unique and long list files.

Here are my thoughts on the current set of clothes being tested.

1: Snow White
This is actually pretty old. I manually cut out the skin portions, but the textures and maps are very, very low quality JPGs. It might look good from afar, but it has quite a number of problems up close. Also, it came with gloves and I hate working on gloves due to the tedious nature of it.
Possible candidate. The nature of it makes it look good, but the quality of it is really not up to par.
Priority: Mid

2: Rena Lanford
A single texture map. High quality, but low in resolution. This is actually a good candidate for a standalone release, but it suffers from the same issue as the Kokoro set of casual clothes around the shoulder.
Priority: High

3: Dark Magician Girl
Turning this asset into a real mod probably won’t be a good idea. the proportions is too hard to work with. Textures are pretty plain too, with painted shines.
It actually might be better to use the model as a reference and make a custom model instead.
Due the the size of the shoulders, there shouldn’t be that much of an issue like in Kokoro’s case.
Priority: Low

4: Himiko Toga
HS should probably have several mods that can recreate Himiko’s base form just fine. It’s just missing the large muffler.
The asset has no other textures aside from the diffuse, so it probably needs some work in Zbrush or Substance to give it more life, especially for the sweater.
Priority: Low

Progress Dec 24

Polls are up. Patrons of any tier can vote here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/23524316

I took a look into some Bless armor. Hopefully I didn’t pick one out that’s already been ported over.

I will try and get a test suit out soon for Radiants.
I spent most of the weekend banging out a double commission. As of this post, I’m on the final stretch which involves only building the materials, list, and final tests, if any, in-game.

I’ll get right on a test suit as soon as I’m done, then I’ll work on the last commission for November.

I want to try and get December commissions started this month to open up to hopefully clear as much as I can for January.

Progress Dec 21–Mods and Workflow

H27 is now available early for embers.
Pick it up early here, or to give a helping hand!

Battle Cleric is completed.
Shining Lights can pick it up early here.

I originally wanted to try and finish this on a Wednesday, but I overestimated my own abilities. It was finished Friday Morning, and polished again for several hours to try and get the dynamics just right, especially on necklace. It’s by far probably my best necklace yet, being really boob friendly!

With this, I probably won’t have much to repot on for a week or so because the next two projects are private commissions.
I will try and get the new poll up over the weekends as well as another test suit.

Workflow

I’ve mentioned this several times in the past, and I thought I should sum it up since it’s a nice history lesson.

Workflow 1: My introduction to modding – Ending with Haven Trooper
Step 1: Find unity3d files with bone structures I can borrow.
Step 2: Create an empty asset bundle to house my mod data.
Step 3: Find materials to use.
Step 4: Copy everything necessary into empty asset bundle.
Step 5: Start replacing existing assets with custom assets.

Somewhere between  Workflow 1 and 2, I learned how to make dynamic accessories.

Workflow 2: Intro into Unity – Starting with Shanoa
Empty asset bundle and materials are created in unity, and exported with a generic asset bundle exporter. Existing assets and custom assets are pasted into that bundle, then everything is put together.

Workflow 3: Joan the Savior – Starting with the Luxury Swimsuit
Step 1: Export all assets to Unity
Step 2: Set up materials, and nesting hierarchy.
Step 3: Export.
Step 4: Do any additional nml adjustments or shader replacements.
I started Workflow 3 to take full advantage of Joan’s shaders and his bonesframework.

And there you have it.

[Mod] SoS Cock Ver 1.32

For a more versatile option, please see IK Items mod.

For a newer version of this model in a different mod:
https://antekorama.blogspot.com/2020/04/studio-ik-penis.html

An update to the skyrim dick mod.

Version A: Dynamics added. The shaft is slightly bouncy and the balls move. It retains the original shader. Should be compatible old scenes.
Version B: Less dynamic. Extraneous colliders removed since they caused more problems than good. Uses new dual color shader.
Version C: New dick. Only the balls move. Uses new dual color shader. Best used with HSPE and for animators.

Monday Progress Dec 17

Since I had the materials set up beforehand when I was doing the polls, I didn’t have to set them up again which meant I could jump right into cleaning and outfitting.

Cleaning is done, and outfitting is almost done. I think the difficult part will be the necklace (not shown) since it’s very wide. It could work as an accessory…

I’m not sure when I’ll get this one done, but it should be before Friday at the current rate.
(It’s also not a Bethesda asset, which meant I didn’t have to deal with the issues they always pose. Also, no gloves!)

Afterwards, you won’t hear much from me for about a week due to commissions. The next poll should go up during this time.

On Sunday, I decided to take a bit of time to test some things.

I’d say the result turned out quite well. This workflow can let met create custom mesh extremely fast, faster than chiseling away at a cube. The only issue following is that I’ll have to unfold the UVs and atlas them in such a way I can easily work with the textures.

Now, actually creating the textures? Maybe some other day…

Progress Report Dec 15

It’s pretty late while I’m typing this.

Since H27 is done, and set for public release, I’ll be working on the Battle Nun outfit. After that, the next two mods after that are private commissions. I’ll be posting up the new poll then as well.

Rebel is public, if you missed that.

H27 Has been released. If you’re a shining light or above, you can pick it up right here.
For everyone else, check back next week or the week after!

Ended up messing around with some shaders while I was working on the finishing touches for H27.
Joan’s shader has an emission map which can be used to make things glow in the darkest of dark. Works really well with Renderer Editor, but I don’t have anything else that can make use of emissions at the moment other than the Raccoon City set, but my current workflow hasn’t been set for repairing old mods, sadly.

Planning on either doing a quick test rig of this or another flat chested clothes. I might as well check to see what’s cute.

If the test mod comes to fruition, it will be posted here for Radiants or the link sent out last month.

[Release] Rebel

Patreon voted outfit. Original post here.

Props to the modeler. One of the best I’ve seen yet.
Nothing else to say.
Props to Joan for the shader.

Progress Dec 10

Taking some time during downtime to write up some stuff.

Almost done with this set. I just need to finish outfitting gloves, then I can got right to skinning and texture work.

It’s a rather simple set. The texture is plain as it can get, so it’ll probably be a lightweight mod. But because it’s a Bethesda thing, outfitting took a bit of time as always.

Also, to prepare for the next mod, which will be public, I decided to waste some bandwidth and pick up Tera.
Instead of dealing with Skyrim variants of Tera armors, I now have access to the raw textures and mesh.

I also have Bless in the backburner, but I have yet to delve into what it has and how I can get it.

This basically means I shouldn’t have to deal with second hand or third party ports for these sets.

If you’re wondering why I’m typing this now, I’m using the kr nexon launcher to download KR Tera, and it lags a lot. It lags so much that my computer suffers huge performance drops doing basic tasks like dragging windows around.

Progress Report Dec 7

Quite a few things.

  • Added ripped textures to a private mod. About 2~ days. Needed to find where the seams where, needed to separate the mesh into top and bottom sections, and needed to rebuild the hierarchy.
  • Did a quick swimsuit private commission. Total time was roughly two days.
  • Made an old mod thicker on request. About 1 day of waiting for maya to respond. This is one not being shared because only one person had problems.
  • This weekend is going to be spent on doing the last private commission for October.
  • After that I’ll be doing the public commission armor, and then finally the battle nun outfit.
The poll will end at this time as well.

I want to try and at least get started on December commission this month, but we’ll see.

Rebel outfit is now available for embers.
Public release is next Friday

Progress Report, Dec 1st

The asset was one of the cleanest DAZ assets I’ve worked with so far.
Rebel will be public on December 14th, week early access on the 7th.

There’s not much to say on this other than the fact that I spent only a few days on this because it was so clean.

My weekend isn’t too hot either. I have some housework that needs to be done, and have gotten 3 requests to do a few extra things relating to mods.
I also still have a commission I need to work on, so I’m technically one mod behind schedule.

I will begin work on the last commission for last month asap. This will be private.
Followed by a public commission.
Followed by the poll winner.
Followed by two more commission. One of which is most likely private.

Also, test mod is live. I want to try and get one out every weekend, or every time I release a public mod, but I want to get my schedule in line to a point I’m not working on requests from last month.
